I was reading an article in TIME wherein a lady elephant expert presents that elephants have developed a universal consciousness that they are being killed for their tusks.
Ivory is so valuable I do look for old pianos that will be trashed but I think it is illegal to sell ivory by international treaty most nations. Do you know anything about that ?
Just that in some states it is very touchy selling the ivory key tops. You can sell them easily if they are over 100 years old but you better keep a paper trail with photos. My friend works on pianos and we’ve talked about this before. A complete set of key tops still on the key is worth about $60.00 -$75.00. Some are split keys others not. Sell them intact, don’t remove the ivory from the key, it’ll ruin them if not done right. There is also strong laws on selling any African Ivory… a big no no internationally. Most sellerts of antique Ivory can tell if it is African or not. I can’t that’s for sure!

Maybe the King should’ve built a stone or wooden tower instead.

But the wood robs the forest and the stone robs the mountain.
