Remember it took Moses 40 years to lead his people from Egypt back to Israel through the desert, right?
Did you ever check how far that is? Roughly 250 miles.
I keep wondering what they smoked to get lost that bad it took them 40 years for 250 miles.
One theory was that the manna bread they ate was really mushrooms from which they made flour to make bread. The mushrooms contained hallucinogenic chemicals. It was a time of deep spiritualism in the culture which was lost when they finally left the desert. Apparently as things were groovy they were in no hurry. Another take is that they were not lost. They spent a great deal of time at warfare conquering and looting other tribes.
Last time for me was 1973. I recall the police helicopters and the farmers in their jeeps chasing us off the farm land pasture as we harvested them from the clumps of cow poop.
Thanks JM. Bible really is a fertile field from which to reap cartoon ideas but often a fine line between being comical and being offensive to some. Personally I like the idea of a smiling Jesus.
My understanding is that from time to time the Big Kahuna from Hawaii came by and made the wind create an hour’s worth of 12 foot waves for the locals.

Now I’m wondering if the Red Sea ever has waves so surfers don’t have to wait around for Moses.

Good mission accomplished. Cats were very popular in Egypt. Most households had a stuffed or mummified cat in them as well as live ones. .
