I realize now that Don and I should have stayed in AZ…4600 feet above sea level sounds a whole lot better than where I am now. It sounds scatty but one of the many reasons I moved us (back) to VA in 2006 (Don was already bedridden) was because someday down the road I didn’t want his casket floating out to sea (if I’d buried him here in Florida). Greensville County VA is apx. 119 feet above sea level, I’m hoping that’s enough.
Should be . Rise estimated conservatively 17 feet next 100+ years. I paid good money for all my shoes and I do not want them to be waterlogged in 100 years.

This, despite repeated exhortations to “have an ice day!”

No, you’ll need to move to the mountains. This is why I left Miami: two feet above sea level but 1,000 feet above here in Greensboro, NC.

One must plan ahead so that a hundred years from now others will be struggling to build that ark and my property values will skyrocket.

Literally and figuratively accurate comment. Once this “cap” melts, no protecting us from the Sun.

Need to “put a cap” on fossil fuel use. Coal must go.
