What modest requests, Carl. You do make it easy on the souvenir budget. Too bad your friend had trouble with the sand…the Garden of Gethsemane leaf is a delight.
Brilliant! I do have a small piece of Everest hidden away in St. Petersburg! I am going there in November, and will mail the stone to you then, if you would send me your mailing address to l.mikhanovskaya at gmail.com.
I can send you a branch of an olive tree from one of the trees in the Garden of Gethsamani, if you want. The leaves have all been given away as present.
Thank you for accepting the gift. Somehow I had the feeling there is a reason why I still have the branch that I carry with me all times. No refund necessary. On it’s way to your P.O. Box. 😛
I’m So Glad At The Level Of Appreciation My Friend!
Glad I Could Do It
I’m Going To India In Late September, What Would You Like Me To Bring Back For You??
What a good friend! I’m glad customs decided to ‘leaf’ him alone the second time around 🙂 (I’m sure it wasn’t funny going through it, but I had to laugh at trying to get the sand through customs!)
The leaf is cool. Sorry Craig had such a hard time with the white sand.
My daughter tried to bring back flower seeds for a friend that she had purchased from a gift shop in Claude Monet’s garden in Giverny, France. They were confiscated by customs and she was devastated. 😦
I have asked for a piece to my nativity when folks ask what to bring from their travels. The result is a wide, varied and diverse nativity made of wood, brass and clay.

What brilliant gifts. I love these, though I can see why the sand might have been a problem.

Oh I laughed so hard as he related the story. I don’t travel much myself. I did , however, go to the shopping mall. Two years ago.

Perhaps just a tiny stone from Everest or another mountain you have climbed.
