I make this face most days… normally after I find my toddler covered in dish soap or scaling the cabinets. My friends refer to it as the Whisper Scream 🙂
Mother felt the same about me. I was just a curious and investigative kid learning the world about me. A big part of that world was getting beat with the giant wooden salad spoon for having such a Columbus/Marco Polo dynamic.
I am perusing other paintings to see if I can make more play offs of this type of stuff. Fortunately my audience is well educated and know the stuff so they pick up on it. Thanks for visit and compliment.
I empathize with the movement but the cities must have to spend a lot of money on clean-up, portable toilet facilities, emergency health care, patrolling. 40 years ago I upset some people by presenting that mere singing of songs, indiscriminate sex, wearing brightly colored clothes or no clothes and being drunk and high and marching would not end the Vietnam war. Political activity and organization are needed to impose change on a corrupt societal leadership. Marching and yelling does not represent that action. At least the megacorps and megabanks know we are angry and growing, however. .

The painting seems to reveal the fear and grief and agony deep down inside of us and it really screams out to us.

I went through that. I tried unsuccessfully to explain that they were on the same team.

Ha. Love it. With the gloom they must be singing “The Day Frosty the Sowman Melted”. (the fool wintered on Miami Beach)

The art imitates life thing being reversed in strange indeed. Just shows you ability of arts to manipulate the viewers.

I’ve seen mumified remains that were more attractive than Joko OhNo. John Lennon’s glasses (or the drugs she gave him) must have performed magic..
