I suppose we go through stages. I have found some better pens and better quality paper. Find myself taking a little more time with these line drawings. The network of supportive readership has grown and nurtures creative moments. Multi media here and there adds some depth and focus. Will be 1 year old on the 31st.
Very few brands had the bubble blowing ability. But could be rolled in your mouth to make little air pockets that made a loud pop or crack. It was so annoying and disruptive that the schools here banned bubble gum from the campus.
I wish the bubblegum that came with baseball cards could do that! Unfortunately, it was hard as a rock, had a weird pasty dust-like coating, and crumbled apart when you bit it.
It sure did.It tasted bad too. I threw it away all the time. It did give the cards a nice aroma. I had them all 1958-1964. Except. Except I never got a Mickey Mantle.

I feel like some of your posts are getting more high-brow artsy and whimsical lately.

I’m forever bowing blubbles… pretty blubbles in the air…..
bblub blbbubbleblub…
I was always completely hopeless at blowing bubbles with gum. Tell me, is there an art to not getting them to splat on ones face when they burst?

Who needs jetpacks? Gum, bit of puff and some directed flatulence and you’re up, up and away.

I guess those two balloon riders are regretting the dollars they forked out for the ride!

Caused me to pull it off my bedpost and reinvigorate it. Awesome and yes, it did make me smile.

Ah, bubble gum. Good, pink bubble gum. Chewed it until my jaws ached. Never floated away, though.

That would be fun! If only I could blow bubbles. I never could master the skill.

Some kids were impressed. I never was but we were all dazzled by the skill of a real yo-yo champ.

The “helium flyer” better hope the birds above don’t start peckin’ at that bubble.
