I am actually missing Florida. I very seldom say that.
I have been in Illinois for 2 weeks. We have only had one full day of sunshine.
The dark and gloomy days are a bit rough. Enjoying not being hot though.
I love this cartoon.
Left Miami Jan 2015 after 60 years to here in Greensboro, NC. I could not tolerate the traffic, the rudeness, no parking, the crime, the polarization between ethnic groups, and the lack of work ethic in dealing with public or private sector bureaucracies. North Carolina is friendly and just plain comfortably normal. I do miss the 12 minute drive to Miami Beach though for sunrise beach combing.
The traffic has only gotten worse. I hate just driving through Lake Wales. It takes longer than it does to drive through Haines City. We are fortunate to live on one of the few back roads in the state.
I love driving the backroads in Illinois. You can drive for days. HappY Wednesday.
Betcha can hunt for arrowheads in the little streams and creeks up there. I went to Florida Southern College in Lakeland 1967 – 1971. Then with Disneyland that’s probably pretty well ruined these days too.
