Great poem why not send it to poetreecreations@yahoo.com
where we can post it on poetreecreations.org our poetry website
Regards Thomas and Gillian Sims
You are more versatile than a tree. Thank heaven for that. Your poem is sad and beautiful. I think a truly creative person has many dimensions and that certainly shines thru here with this poem. Thank you, Carl.
You made me concentart while I got used to relax with you but still did not stop me enjoying your words and picture so the smile is also here too. have a good weekend.
I like your optimism and spirit of not being defeated. The poem is an expression of despair but I also hope it is not necessary to remain in that place. Thanks for visit.
Carl your poem is absolutely wonderfully done! I loved the image and also your words. Your message speaks volumes…thanks for making my day my friend! God bless!
I wrote it several years ago and made many revisions until it said what I tried to convey. In the rare times I do poetry I try to keep it as short as possible to give a focused punch.
Sharing other dimensions of myself with wonderful people that follow. Cartoons will return soon as will go with poetry for a while as value their feedback.

Gloom, despair, cynicism all part of the total picture but try to keep that compartmentalized and not become cancerous.

I’m not a tree either. I have, however, been using tree limbs to make art.

Too sad… I can’t believe this is true…(more to the point don’t want to). Forever remove hopes and dreams?? Not sprout new growth??

If a reader comes back a second and third time the poem has been successful as has been the author. Appreciate the validation.
