I was born during the second half of the 60s, but still have a big appreciation for the music of that era. What a time to be alive… with such change happening everywhere, some good and some bad, and such awareness of what was really important.
Yes and we wanted to change things but we got stuck in our 9 to 5’s, the kids and house and now feel as helpless and disenfranchised as we did then, The enemy was big government and war. Today it’s the megabanks and megacorps. I see the girls are really enjoying the softball, eh? Eliminate that overthrow to first and that overthrow at the play at the plate. Let it get there on one bounce to make the play. Improves W-L by at least 20%
You never heard of the Cowsills? Probably not exactly your brand of music. . .
Those were the days. . .even if I was only a kid in the 60s, I’m proud to say I was here.
I’m still stuck in the sixties, but in retrospect, the whole decade really sucked. Two Kennedys assassinated; Martin Luther King assassinated; Vietnam War; Watts riots of 1965; police brutality during the Chicago DNC convention; Nixon elected President. Need I go on? Thankfully it all had a good sound track.

They were revolutionary times alright. It was a time when music carried a social message as well as being music.
