Powerful painting. The way the passenger is leaning in. And it’s raining because there is no sunshine with mission they’re on.

Deeply emotional and with great reverence.

I know it’s Memorial Day in your Country, friend Carlos … We have Remembrance Day here in Canada … They have similar days in Europe and prolly all over the world ,,, none of which don’t do diddly for me … All i wanna know is: Why ddi my then 45 year old roma grandmother die some where in Siberia? And why should my 89 year old mother still cry about that to this day? Anyway … Love, cat.

My extended family on both sides sent several dozen men during WW II. They all returned. Ironically some were in the invasion of Italy where their parents were born. Yes, I found this painting profound too both in its humility and glory. The rain cannot wash away the memory.
