I’m sorry he felt he had to take his horse with him! I loved this, Carl, because I feel like it is a modern illustration of a mythological character and lesson. It DID make me smile!
Found some depth to it , eh ? That’s encouraging for any artist. I’ve heard of the light when crossing over to death. Can certainly do without the heat though.
Bless you, ole Sam, keep on riding until you fall off your horse or the horse falls, which ever comes first … smiles … Anyway … my kidlets just returned from a 6 months trip by van throughout the States and are safely back in Canada … and guess what, friend Carlos … they were actually a bit sad to leave all the kindness and friendships behind … and awesome landscapes your country has to offer … while waiting for the Coho ferry in Port Angeles, USA to take them over to Victoria, Canada … as they met a whole lot of really friendly peeps in your country … including police officers that let them stay parking although they were not allowed !!! … @paulleanneandavan … Thank you, USA for having and welcoming my kidlets Paul and Leanne and Benny, the cat and Morrie the van … and treating them well !!! … smiles … So proud of your country for having a flesh and blood beating heart … Love, cat.
It is pleasantly heart warming to hear they found safety and kindness. Far too often those attributes are rare and missing in much of the USA these days. Unfortunately I have not seen much of my country except in film and books.

Sorry for my ignorance Carl, who is Sam Drew? Checked out ol’ Google, but could not find any reference to a historical character.

From my pocketful of fictional characters. The name just struck as an Old West type. Appreciate your diligence.
