Flying all over , although scares to death to fly … go figure, friend Carlos, eh? … used to love the train system in Europe until it got to fast for me as well … cuz I feel my soul cannot follow, ya … so now I resorted to sail / cruise the world … and I do not feel like wasting time on 5 days at sea … cuz I can feel her follow me… amina that is … smiles … Love, cat.
Perhaps our soul remains with us until we cross to the other side of life. On the other hand if we become evil in mind and heart I think we lose our soul in the here and now.
That’s a great comment to hear. I feel like this old couple. My phone is on my desk, I have personalized stationery, stamps, envelopes and a fountain pen. I read books too.
I’m one of them. Hate to waste 2 days but train ride has its charm. There’s a “we’re hanging on to history and linking to the past” camaraderie among the passengers I think. And if you’re a novelist, short story writer or poet the train atmosphere enhances the thought and emotion in writing. Drawing too.

I took the Seattle to San Diego ride in 1986. What a thrill high up in Cascade Mountains.

If I don’t get back on a plane soon, that’ll be me!! [if I mention a plane to my better-half, it comes close to starting an argument!]

Flew last month. Seats are really narrow and no leg room. But no ships Greensboro to Ft lauderdale.
