Too much of either destroys the natural taste of the food. In my case I am guilty of putting cheese on everything.And of course Italians need plenty of olive oil on vegetables.
Most of the time I have no idea how an idea comes to me. It just pops into my head as though I am being fed them from something beyond. Sometimes a picture comes to mind and I develop the joke, other times the joke comes to mind and I create an appropriate drawing. I rarely sit down with the aim of “Hmmm, let me think up something about this or that” topic.
