I love these old post cards and pictures. One year I printed off a bunch of them and made a bulletin board at work. Interesting how times and views change. I wonder what a modern card would look like? Wounded warrior in front of a flag? Trump in an Uncle Sam hat? The Statue of Liberty turning her back on immigrants? A woman with a pussy hat ringing the Liberty Bell? Well, I’m getting too political. Better quit now.
America and freedom means so many different things to so many different people . The ideas may be antithetical to each other and self serving but hopefully it is the common denominators that prevail.
Came to the American continent July 03rd, 1982, and was made to celebrate July 04th in a church … that cracked me up cuz me never seen national flags in churches in Europe nor heard national hymns sung in dose holy walls either, friend Carlos … July 01st, 2017 was Canada’s 150th birthday … blessed be … but I will never b able to sing their national hymn cuz it is not my home and native land … smiles … tears … http://www.youtube.com/embed/CY5nqH8t_B8?rel=0 … anyway … Love, cat.
I listened to the song and music and the untranslated words. It all sounds so sad and and full of grief. I looked up the words in English. “we knew thee of old…” The Light of Greece lives and shines forever . Perhaps the greatest contribution of all is the New Testament originally written in Greek to be presented to millions of believers in the Lord from the past and lives on today.

I have just the pictures. I wish I did have the cards. Can probably get real ones for $1 – $3 or less if bought as sets.
