I’m familiar with French Beans, but hadn’t heard about French Carrots. Or will that be the outcome of the next revolution.
Got to give the Dutch credit for orange carrots because in their zest for national pride and identity they developed an orange vegetable in honour of the royal house of Orange (Oranje). Carrots revert to being Queen Anne’s Lace if left to seed and germinate on their own.
Certainly free from British colonialism (although many would accuse the US of that today) and revolutionary emergence of constitutional democracy. Then there’s that Industrial Revolution and American Civil War a revolution to move from agricultural base to industrial base. Information Age a revolution and 20th Century a constant change and remodeling of the status quo. World wide ? Super Capitalist Revolution as megacorps and megabanks control everything and the right to vote is a mere illusion of democracy and Karl Marx’s assessment of politico/economic disenfranchisement of working class seems to be the present revolution.

Then the bleedin’ heart liberals stepped in and suggested that rather than beheading that they “arti-choke” instead..

Revolutions are good for the winners, not for the losers. But naturally, as an Americans we see our own revolution as wonderful success.
