Our 12 ft tree is still fragrancing our living room. Once that job is done it will provide cover in the yard for the song birds who we feed all winter. Always another use for a real live Christmas tree.

Today’s Christmas tree is tomorrow’s wood-chip mulch

Poor tree, oh dear!. Wishing you a Happy New Year.

Happy New Year, Carl! I wish you a year filled with happiness and good health. And, quite selfishly, a year with many more fun posts from you 😀

Still holding out on taking down my tree… not sure if I feel more sad about saying goodbye to the tree, or putting my angel back in a box in the basement…

Oh, I certainly commensurate. Just try, Adam, to get it down by April. However, I would present(pun intended) that it is cool to keep the angel out all year perhaps attached to a lamp or something. Best wishes 2017.

I’ll miss the pine smell in the room.

All the best for 2017!

I would always cry when we had to get rid of the Christmas tree. Now that we have an artificial one, I don´t feel so bad when I put it away. I guess I know I will see it again in a year!!

Yes, it’s like a child leaving home to go to college or a job far away but the tree will never visit or come home again.

Yes that tree was a focal point…crazy feelings…loved it, cared for it, protected it from the dog and then trashed it. Mixed emotions…but was ready to see if gone. Happy New Year!!!

Mine drank up almost two pints of water every day.

I hope you had a great New Years for 2017-goodbye bad luck in 2016—-The tree comes down today. 🙂 Good riddens to that tree.

I have such a sense of betrayal discarding the tree but for 3 weeks it was royalty.

Wish you a Happy New Year!

You too Ankur. I look forward for more of you scathing, unmerciful but humorous satire on your blog and appreciate your witty comments here.
