I spoze you can get away with it by telling everyone there are many birthday parties and weddings at your place. You gotta have insanity deniability.

I have two little bitty strings of lights…BUT…I looked just like the photos 🙂 It’s like trying to untangle knitting wool 😀

It has to be some alien force. I would think Santa Claus has enough influence to put a stop to it.

Just give up Mr. D’aG, it will save your life and money. 🙂
November 30th, 2016 at 21:09
Hmmmm. Maybe angel halos work better. I mean they gotta make rings around lights right ?
November 30th, 2016 at 20:04
Now I am scared. I just brought lights and putting them up for the first time and also a tree.
November 30th, 2016 at 21:07
Well these new ones all nice and neat in the box will be no problem. But wait till next year. No matter how you store them the wires and and such will be wrapped around each other like a million little snakes trying to keep warm in winter. The Christmas light manufacturers have men that sneak into the closets and attics of millions of people and foul up everything. Beware. A new tree, eh ? Lemme tell ya about the notorious Alaskan tree spiders…
November 30th, 2016 at 17:21
Last year I couldn’t take it and I threw three strands in the trash…recycle. It felt so good. Felt even better to have three boxes of new lights waiting in the Christmas decorations bins. I bought them on a huge sale. I’m already wondering what I will do this year. I hate to be wasteful, but I also go for avoiding a fit. 🙂
November 30th, 2016 at 18:21
I have done the “throw it all in the trash” routine several times over the years due to strandifracation as I call it. One year none of them worked. Weeks later I realized it was that the light switch was not turned on and the lights must have been working after all.
November 30th, 2016 at 18:29
Ha…strandification….Urban Dictionary please…

It’s in da Bwooklyn ‘talian Dictionary.

Absolutely the most fun job every Christmas. Mine are still in the box all jumbled up. It is still too warm to put them up. I wait until the temps drop to below 32. That way I come in for a warm up shot of scotch every so often. When the job is completed I am more lit than the front of the house.
November 30th, 2016 at 14:05
Well too much s will give you lights out !
November 30th, 2016 at 12:40
On solution to not have them get all tangled…. leave them up all year.
November 30th, 2016 at 14:06
I have thought of that but these days I am afraid Dept Homeland Security will think something amiss.
November 30th, 2016 at 19:01
It’s a good strategy to fly below the radar.

Agreed. It’s not mere paranoia when they really are looking for you.
