I do believe my live oak tree drops leaves all year round and if I could actually get my arms around it to give it a shake the tree or it’s limbs might just fall in my neighbors swimming pool. I’m hoping Hurricane Matthew doesn’t decide to veer to the left across the middle of Florida…if “he” does the oak tree and I are in a a world of hurt 🙂
I am glad I moved to Greensboro, NC last year. Been through every Miami Hurricane since 1954. I can just imagine the mess in North Miami and Aventura where I lived.
And she said… with arms folded…”Well, look at Mr. Smartness, sitting on his
butt.” Ha…love my leaf blower and keeping my green grass healthy. Funny one!
It seems that leave raking techniques and systems is one of those topics that can bring out strong opinions. Some don’t understand why anyone rakes until the very last leaf is off the tree. Some jump in once the very first leaf falls. I’m out of the business these days, but have plenty of years of experience with it. I’ve never owned a leaf blower. So, that probably puts me into a certain camp in this sensitive topic.
No leaf blower for me either. Now in North Carolina and can’t believe I’ll be getting a foot of leaves. In Miami most things stay green all year but the black olive and ficus trees shed a great deal.

Actually, it’s supposed to be an owl but the joke’s on me. My error. Owls are out only at night.

I’m here in Miami Fl;orida, waiting for hurricane Matthew. I’m not concerned about raking leaves as there might not be any trees left
