Reminiscing on the National Recovery Act (NRA) and Franklin D. Roosevelt. Fans, collectors of clocks and metalwork will appreciate, too. Thanks to the source:
Awesome … Ur clock collection, I mean, Carlos … time is running out … no matter how many clocks U set .. except, when u r a cat … smiles … cuz they have 9 lives … smiles … I’m on life number 3 … U? … Anyway … Love, cat.
I’m always on the prowl for more. Last week I found a 6 1/2 inch stuffed donkey doll stamped 1936 and got it for $35, a real bargain I think. One has to be careful not to diversify when collecting a category of items or you will go broke but this unique item was so charming it makes a delightful addition.
Beautiful collection…I rather like old clocks! My parents were married in August 1933 and honeymooned at the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair/A Century of Progress.
Yes, I treasure them. Most of the clocks themselves don’t work but I have them as art sculpture and as historical artifacts from 1933 or more precisely “my own little pieces of history”.

I’ve escaped many “I could have been killed” episodes. I’ve used up all 9 decades ago. Must be living on “borrowed time” as they say.

I didn’t know such clocks existed and it is grand to see them together like this–great clocks celebrating an amazing man.

Thanks. I like having “the museum” part of the house. Actually at our age father and me are museums.
