I used to have a NY friend … is living in NC right now … if you happen to meet him, tell him “Hello” from me(ouw) … and that I miss his … fruitcakes … oops, that wasn’t very nice … o, well … smiles … anyway … still waiting for your book to arrive … ordered it, paid for it … but no book … yet … anyway, have some snow … X Mas greetings from AB, Carel … and happy Winter Solstice … and happy New Year … and all dat Jazz, hmmm? … smiles … Love, cat.
I’m a former New Yorker as you know. But for this Christmas, my wife and I are going to a restaurant to have all the stone crabs you can eat. Now that’s called a Florida Christmas!!!! No ham, turkey or roast pork, just lot’s of stone crabs. YEA FLORIDA!!
Even after 27 years in Florida, I was still surprised from the heat when I walked out of a store from Christmas shopping. I’d expect that biting wind, and instead, it was colder inside the store. Ha. Cute cartoon, Mr. Carl.
I’m so agreeing with that middle Wise Man…most people here in west central Florida are just hoping for cool weather. Which BTW we are having yesterday and today…I figure by Christmas day the temperature will be back up in the 80s 🙂
That’s a relief from June – September in the upper 90’s. Then it rains to cool things off but 15 minutes it’s all steamy hot. You don’t need a sauna in South Florida.
It snowed once in Miami 1977. I remember all the kids in the school rushed outside. Just a quick flurry and it lasted about a minute. Most folks can’t imagine a Miami Christmas – in the pool with all the condo folks from New Jersey and New York just loving it.
New Yorkers! Reminds me of a movie some fifteen years back; I think it was “Runaway Bride” where a bunch of New Yorkers are shown to be dressed identically, behaving identically with cell-phones (then somewhat new) glued to their ears, and so on. They still seem to be all alike 🙂
Because my son won’t have his daughter for visitation later this week with his 4 year old daughter, we will have our own little Christmas at my house after church today.I can’t wait to play with her presents !
This is the first post I saw tonight when I was finally able to get on WordPress again. Love this cartoon. Have a great Sunday. Hugs to you and your dad. Love Sarah

Shared from Carl D’Agostino …I Know I Made You Smile. Yes He Did. Perfect photo for me here in Florida. Not complaining AS MUCH because for the first time in a long time, the AC is off.
On the OTHER HAND, Danny, who gets cold easily has the heater on. 76 degrees. The vent is off over my head. Still hot in here.
We were actually all over Rolling Meadows Ranch today, for the first time in awhile (long story there). Pictures to come ASAP. When I can download/upload them here. It may be awhile.
As of this moment, internet is slightly faster and I am on WordPress. They messaged me earlier and said they fixed a few bugs here. I hope it lasts.
Love Sarah
Yes that AC bill drops dramatically this time of year. My first five Christmases in New York, the next 60 in Miami and now first here in Greensboro. WordPress internet bugs ? Well I hope you have plenty of chocolate to stay well and protected from them.

Yeah, ya gotta run from the cold store to the misery and to the AC of the car. You poor women with that humidity and your hair.
