Good one Carl. Can’t believe it’s almost time to rake – here in North Texas we end up raking nearly every weekend from first week in November straight through February – seems like every tree has it’s own schedule for letting it’s leaves go. I used to look forward to it, but not any more – yes, I want to shake these trees.
Then there was the joke that went: “Did you hear about the (add your favorite dumb-ass nationality here) who broke his arm raking leaves? Yeah, he fell out of the tree!” lol

But if he shakes the tree, the bird might fall out.

One of those machines they use to get fruit off the tree might work 😀

Would you then call that a maple shake? Is it possible to do a drive-by- shaking? Would the tree ever get winded? grin. Great post, thank-you!

Trees are beginning to look like this in these parts so I’ll soon have a rake in my hands, but I’ll shake those trees before using it.

This is why I don’t tell folks where I live. Cuz they might drive by and see me doin’ sumthin’ wrong in my yard work too. Haha!
Colorful, this one! Nice! Perfect for the Autumn season too!

I understand. They laugh when I cut the lawn with a scissors.

Some of my scissors actually are sharper than my dull machete. So I’d do the same. Thanks for the idea!
