Unfortunately for us, they did… now instead of 10 fairly easy commandments… we’re buried in thousands of pages for 1 law, and the actual mountain of laws and regulations weighs more than those stone tablets… this comic struck a nerve can you tell?
When Washington became president there were just 3 federal laws. They dealt with counterfeiting, treason and piracy. We’ve come a loooooooong way since then.

Paper, the lighter alternative. Must’ve been hard rolling a smoke before paper was invented

That is why there was that great and wonderful thing known as a pipe, an art that is sadly fading away:(

Apparently, they also had not yet invented the number VII.

I was wondering who would catch that. Yes, no Roman numerals in 5,000 BC.

It seems that history is indeed repeating itself, as everyone carries a “tablet” now..

You know, if we had to put all our thoughts in stone, we might think a little harder.

It would be hard to “break the law” in this case.
