Ah, so I see you do know wood carving. Yes the fingertips must become callused as a guitar player’s, the palms like a woodsman’s and the blisters come again if you lay off for a while and begin again.
The problem selling is what must I charge for 32 pieces which is at least 250 hours of work and who will pay that? I have been unsuccessful in finding a manufacturer to cast them for me and market.
Your work is so incredible, Carl. I have never played and still I am completely taken back by your talent.

Do your research on press releases first. They are critical, you will only get one chance. But – if they like it someone will come to see you. And there’s your chance.
Don’t sell yourself short. I carved my first piece when I was 15 on a dare. You can learn and practice with a big bar of Ivory Soap perhaps making zoo animals at first. The are plenty of “how to”publications. You never know you may have a talent unless you give it a try. I can’t do music or algebra worth a hoot, however.
I have my carving tools still. I may give them another go. But like you, I “can’t” do music. But I’m taking guitar and ukulele lessons! 🙂 So maybe at some point I will be able to.

Those are really good. I could never do wood carving. I think I’d end up carving my fingers instead.
