I often spend a lot of time on some things so that there are the same amount of syllables or beats in every line of the poem often 11 or 14 in this case 8 syllables per line. Takes a lot of reworking.
I’ve earned every wrinkle and every white hair but the consolation lies in that you have grandchildren which you can’t have without wrinkles and white hair.

I love faces and take so many photos of them, each time wondering what story is in mine.

Yes, I did. Oh thank you for that information. I was fearful I would have to have my meds adjusted for hearing voices again. Whew.

Never take off that face and be proud of those lines. 8×8 I did count. Wonderful post.

As long as you don’t have “hash marks” you’re still doing okay..

Funny how our perceptions change on this with the passage of decades. Or centuries as the case may be.

I just played dominoes with my parents today. I visit once a week and we play games. Dominoes, Rummikub and Pinochle are the current favorites.

I meant, I’m wearing out my face. Both are true, though. Ah, English grammar!

But it is strange. Why do all the faces of my college peers look 50 years older while mine still looks 22 years old?
