Poor Lenny. It’s in his nature to magnify everything…and it’s hard to fight with nature. Quite clever, Carl.

I know. That often happens to me. I may have a picture idea but can’t think up appropriate gag line and sometimes have a great gag line in mind but can’t seem to come up with a matching illustration. I keep them in my “figure it out later” file.

I think Lenny is sad because postage stamps just went up.

If he sets down his problems and looks for the good, he might be smiling instead of crying 🙂

Then I need his help. I can’t find my flaws, can’t find my keys, the remote, my glasses….

If it’s my problem, it’s BIG; if it’s yours, it’s not that big. Why are we so insensitive?

This could be used as graphics for CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy). Use the pen to change problems to opportunity, and turn the magnifying glass and use the other side to minimize the problem. Oh you are good, Mr. DaG. Love it!

Love your post, Carl. Hyperbole is the perfect word. I use that, explaining to my students that it’s like “Yo Mamma” jokes – excessive exaggeration. Perfect.

Slap some yellow paint on yo mama and she could get a job taking kids to school.

I like your choice of the pen for Mr. Hyperbole–with all the venues we have for exaggerated commentary and opinion, the written word (article, post, script) symbolized by your pen is most appropriate. Good one, Carl.
