I had no idea that’s what you’re supposed to do. Thankfully, in these parts we don’t get many fallen leaves. Palm trees manage to keep their palms for a long time. 😉
Be sure to use one of those back braces. Also why don’t they use leaf blowers to blow the leaves off the tree instead of blowing them all around once they’ve fallen ?
Those porch-rockers are a harsh duo. Better a few leaves at a time than all at once, and better a mild daily work-out than killing yourself. Thankfully, our leaves in southern WI are still green and on the tree.
You wouldn’t think living in Fl we would have to rake so much. We have been dealing with a huge, overgrown ficus tree dropping its leaves all summer (tons of them and into the pool)….raking has become a daily chore. We are cutting it down next week. I think it is dying. You still make me smile….
Oh yes, ficus. It protects its territory like mammals by blocking sun light around trunk so nothing grows. Good to cut down as works its way into house plumbing. Black olives are massive shedders too.

It never fails – they seem to hold out until the second after you rake. But don’t you love it!

Trees don’t respond well to shake downs. They hold out until you think you’re done 🙂

It is your choice not to listen to this good advice. So:
Rake, rake
rake away. Surely
your chore
everyday.
