Geez, outstanding cartoonist and poet!…. I thought God gave us all a little — in case we lost the little others had a little too so there would always be some; well, God gave you more than a little! 😉
Audience expects a morning cartoon but intend to mix it up. Some of my poetry efforts have been well received and that is encouraging as is your request. Thanks.
A thoughtful poem, Carl. Regrets, I’ve had a few. But each part of my life led me where I am today. And, I do eagerly await tomorrow’s new dawn and the promises that day holds.
Regrets. Me too and far too many and painful. Harms I may have caused and certainly ones done to me but understand I had to pass through every door and fall into or climb out of every hole to be where and who I am. Am comfortable now with serenity of age. Had enough adventure that’s for sure.

Original was twice as long. Went through at least a dozen refinements.

I try to end my serious stuff that way, not necessarily the happy ending but hope.

I think the refrain is effective in prose not just song/hymn and oratory. Thanks for visit.
