New Yorkers down here say this all the time. And there are more New Yorkers in Miami except in New York. More Mets fans than Marlins fans at the baseball stadium.
And the camels? These come on camels. Not in vain do Spaniards set out some water and a fig on the window sill. It is to make the camel stop there so that the kings have time to deliver the parcels.
It’s summer here but the commercial world still seems to push the winter snowy xmas theme. Just doesn’t make sense. I was outside working in the garden today, really hot & the next door neighbour was playing Bing Crosby’s “I’m dreaming of a white xmas”. That just ain’t gunna happen here in the southern hemisphere in december
And don’t they realize Christmas really shouldn’t even be in the winter? And the wise men didn’t show up at the same time as the shepherds. I need to start putting my Nativity scene up in summer, but not put the wise men out until some time later.
Darn the person who opened my eyes to the inaccuracies of Nativity scenes.
We got well over a foot in the recent storm. I would love to share some with these guys.
Who cares about snow when you’re meeting a grandchild!! Merry Christmas, Carl. Thank you for all the smiles!!!
I love this, Carl! I hear so many say that, guess it started quite awhile back–in the desert even. It did take a little getting used to when we moved to the beach from an area that always had a snow-covered Christmas. All the best to you and your family this Christmas.

Too, too funny. As someone who lives in a warm climate, I agree!

I tend to comment too often on weather conditions…I feel a little better now that I realize even the Wise Men had an attitude!

Yes you are probably right. And from what we know about astronomy it was probably summertime when He was born.
