We carefully unpacked our Christmas lights, tested the first group, and then went in for coffee before hanging the lights across the front of the house and around two trees. We happily flipped the switch, and only the first group worked!
I learned a hard lesson today…and this made me laugh.
Old fashion Christmas lights of my childhood that give of a warm glow. Way to go Edison family!
Those new L. E. D. lights, although cost and energy efficient, sear my retinas.
Happy Holidays Carl
Are these 100-watters? If so, it’s no wonder they’re celebrating early–they’ll be wrapped and ribboned by Christmas morning as happy recipients embrace these endangered treasures.

It happened to me last year. Worked fine testing. Once up-no go. I had a tantrum and tore everything down. No more lights !

The Edisons are brightening the mood of the neighborhood, trying to keep pace with Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) and Christmas Vacation.
