My back porch looks quite a bit different, friend Carlos … as there is about 160 acres of woodland and pasture, some swamp and about 160 acres of barley after that … and I like it here … and I like it here … Love, cat.
Sounds lovely. Interesting youbrought me here to see comment. I had forgotten I drew it. Big change now. Live in North Carolina, residential but lots of trees and have my own little forest in the back.
I was long a reader of The New Yorker. It is a shadow of its former self but still every cartoonist’s dream to be published on its pages. I suggest you go to their site every Monday morning and enter the Cartoon Caption Contest. I’ve been trying for 7 years. They also have covers as jigsaw puzzles you can do on computer and my grand kids love to do them.
Aren’t you a lucky duck!!! Great view!!! In response to your comment on my blog about feeding a group of squirrels, the squirrels at our place are reeking havoc on our house, and we don’t even have a wooded lot. They can be stinkers!! No food for them! Margie
You can always hang some posters. The office cannot own your imagination. I collect and hang big plaster and ceramic brightly painted suns on my walls in apt.
Actually, I have lots of photos I’ve taken of my garden and other beautiful places we have traveled to hanging in my office. I consider those my window, but once in awhile, it would be nice to see the sky.
Wow – another planet – but you look satisfied scribbling in your sketch book – no snow or freezing temperatures for you but I’m sure you have your own particular weather demons to deal with…
Ha ha! Amazing how similar people are across the world. About 15 years back we moved to Bombay (now Mumbai) which is a crowded, coastal city in the west and where real estate is the most expensive in the country. The real-estate agents showing us apartments would invariably sell them as having a “great view of the Arabian Sea”. And, invariably, that “view” could be had by standing on one leg on a stool, craning your neck to one side, shutting one eye and looking through a powerful telescope from the other.
Probably heavy rains and 30-40 mph wind gusts but should be no big deal although thunderous achooos can knock out power a few days. I have been through every one here since 1954.
