One of my deepest fantasies is the wish to be able to tell some of my loved ones, long deceased, that I “get” it now. The things they tried to tell me, and I was just too young to relate. I get it now…I understand what they were trying to tell me. They sat and contemplated much, and I was too busy. Your cartoon illustrates that to me. I’m deeply appreciative. Debra
Those are precisely my feelings upon creating the piece. I am delighted you found meaning in the post. I am 63 and if I live to 73 I am sure I will see things a bit differently as I do now as well.
I am second generation Italian(Roman/Sicilian) but speak no Italian and must use translate to post. I will visit some day and am most interested in Roman architecture and ruins
Hey, I am not a photoshop guy. I have merely scissors and glue and when I cut and paste I really do cut and paste. Good eye though you have. Yes, Venice although I hear those lovely(alleged) canals and waterways are just sewage outlets.

I can appreciate a bench near the water. Wish they made ’em more comfortable, though.
