When i clicked on it I thought it was one of the Guest Posts you put out occasionally. Obviously there is more creativity inside you than is visible from just the cartoons. Simple and sincere poem.
This poem is very moving, Carl. I think I immediately tapped into the blessing and prayer I have for my two little butterflies, my granddaughters. I wish those freedoms for them all the time. Lovely. Debra

I also meant to add that your words carry a deeper meaning, too, besides the butterfly beauty! 🙂

I wouldn’t like to find one entangled in a web. May they always fly free.

What a sweet poem, Carl. What a sweet sentiment.
First, the photo of the grandchildren. Now this. I’m afraid your soft side is showing. 😉

We wish freedom for ourselves and often unwittingly restrain other persons and things.

I love your poem, Carl. It’s sad when such a light, delicate creature is trapped or unable to fly.

So true. I hadn’t considered the deeper meaning of your poem until your comment, Carl. You’re very on target.
