I’ve been having little weird things with WordPress, too, especially after I see a change somewhere. I think their changes are doing something, but last time I checked, there was no way to contact them about it because they had too many complaints to deal with or something. Fortunately, the issues either went away for me or aren’t that bad. Hopefully, it’ll get fixed soon. I don’t know if anything is happening with my spam folder. I’m afraid of what I’ll find in there, so I don’t know if I’ll look. Just like how I never look behind my dresser. I just know something’s living back there.
Hoping I do not wiggle in the spam net. I am off WP, but the problems are so widespread most of my regular crew has not been around much. Inbox is clear of complaints, so I am guessing they did not take the hints after the offsite ppl broke the version they just upgraded you to…we got it about a month ago and this was the problem with it then. Glad to know they use our reports to actually debug their scripts. Sheesh.

You would think they would have the simple dignity to self report and alert everyone. Glitches in high tech are expected and understood. Assistance in getting everyone reconnected is want we expect. I depend on wp and do not do facebook, twitter, linkedin and all the rest of them because I have a range of traffic from quality people with which I am comfortable. Since I am not selling anything I don’t need it. Some bloggers that are established now use all that stuff. I cannot imagine dealing with 15,000 comments a month.
I do not know if anyone has told you, but when I load your site, it is giving me an insecure content warning. Most all of WP is on https to keep the spam to a minimum and keep people logged into WP. You may want to include that in your contact with WP. It is tied to the problems they are having keeping ppl logged in.
Last week I went through three days where I could not refresh (much less navigate to) a page without having to log into WP a.g.a.i.n.

My “likes” weren’t showing up Carl’s blog until I signed in, tried to “like”, then tried a second time.
I’m suspicious that as WP does “behind the scenes” upgrades, that all isn’t working all that perfectly. And they make adjustments as the complaints show up…..Just a thought….
I am so sorry Carl! I have been stuck in the h-e-double hockey stick Spam exile for a week now. I have been working with WP who finally referred me to Akismet reps and now I’m filling out forms and talking to people as though we were all in third grade. They aren’t very willing to admit they have a problem. I do at least recommend that you begin telling WP what’s happening and joining me in describing the weird happenings. It will take some time…so far I’ve been told it’s more or less in my head, but I’m not giving up. If they hear from more people about what’s occurring it might help.
I’m so sorry! This could be happening to more people than even know about it yet. I sort of wish we could handle our own Spam monitoring!

I can’t notify people I am rejected commenting either. With all the demons and monsters you have slain, you should be fearless.

This comment needed approval which is not how my blog set up. You are regular and should not be tagged possible spam.

Your likes and comments are reaching me okay, although, of course, what I don’t see, I don’t know about – good luck in resolving this issue…
