The key is to pull it off as funny and not offensive or insensitive.

I don’t think sprinkling would remove those really stubborn stains.

OK. The artists eye for detail. I should have added a horizon line or background to show depth.

Those Baptists pray too loud. And too long. Those Methodists sing too loud. We Presbyterians sit in the back because we don’t need to hear this and know more theology than the minister anyway. Plus sitting in the back means you get to your car quickly to see at least the last part of the first quarter of the football game. We let the Episcopalians make the booze run.

For infant baptism I always felt that besides the traditional theological meanings the ceremony was also a sacrament for the parents in a way in that they publicly declare that the child will be raised in Christ.

Ah, now that leads us to that old theological debate: does one rise in the body or the spirit? I happen to concur with the latter.

I know it is not (supposed to be) funny, but many years ago a church of unknown name and/or denomintion was holding baptisms at a nearby lake, and one of the baptism(ees) slipped out of the hands of the baptism(er) and drowned. I don’t think you get any closer to heaven than that..Right to the head of the line..
