1986? Is that when you made this cartoon? If so, it’s the year I was born, and the cartoon is quite an accurate representation of our family weekend :)! Good times…
I’ve been making these cartoons for 50 years but include on ones made after 1985 for publication. I have at least 250 to redraw now that I have better pens and better paper. Only 26? You have a unique wisdom and a reach far beyond your years which would be concluded from your poetry that you are much older. Obviously you are quite educated and well read.
I’m 25, actually; I’ll be turning 26 in October 2012, my mountaineering adventures permitting… Thanks for your kind words, though. Wish I only sounded older on paper – sadly, I look it too :))!

A tiny object placed in a cartoon can make the gag a success. That is of course if people catch it as you have.

Good one, Carl. Love the image of a lion on a leash….and the comments were a ‘riot’ too. Christian chew toys? Ouch.

That is an ouch for sure. I enjoy when the commenters play off the gag and so much humor is added to the blog this way.

That’s great! Parallelism between the lion and the cat and the sword and balloons. So lighthearted!

This is fabulous! Instead of men/boys and their toys, it’s men/boys and their pets!

This is WAY cooler than when I got to sit in my dad’s cubicle sorting paper clips for eight hours.
