If the clouds were lined with that kind of silver, it would help the economy! (Even better if the coins were the mostly silver ones before the 1960s :))
Yeah, they took out the silver in 1964. Quarters, dimes and halves were 90%. Kennedy halves 65-69 are 40%. Sometimes when I have an extra thousand dollars(rare) I order 1 $1,000 worth of halve dollars(2,000 pieces). I usually find 10 to 30 silver ones and that brings $100 to $300 profit or more even at the rip-off coin shop. Then make up the difference , cash them in and get a fresh batch.
I’ve heard of pennies from heaven, but that would entail copper-lined clouds. Besides, silver is far more valuable. Let it rain! Preferably down upon me.
My grandma was an expert cut & paster. I need to dig up some of the old letters she wrote. My favorites were when she cut all of our heads out and pasted them to other pictures.
Computer skills are often over-rated anyway. You can’t touch Photoshop.
Cool, very inspiring. My kitchen table is currently occupied with a project in clay I began last night, been thinking about for a while, an ant-proof cat food dish. The boyfriend has three outdoor cats, Fluffy, Fred, and Filbert, (the three F-ing cats) and at certain times of the year the ants come marching in.
Thank you for the instructions, love the catalog idea. I really like your art.
I have worked for 7 hours today on 8×10 George Washington. About 5 hours to finish. It will take at least 200 photocopy stamps with some coins thrown in.
Yes. First find a cloud picture you like and print at least 6×6. Then with exacto knife cut out what you don’t want. I have coin catalogs and cut out silver coins and paste on back so coin side appears in the gaps. Took me a little over an hour. I am working on another with stamps as mosaic. You can make all kinds of things. Butterflies with butterfly, stamps, trains with train stamps, ships….and so on. The stamps themselves would be very expensive so I order coin and stamp catalogs and color copy to make mosaic tile. I am working on George Washington now for February post. Thanks for your interest. You can have much fun and they make for great posts other than the usual writing or photos.

I’ll keep that in mind. I always liked the rendition of that song by Perry Como.

I love this and yes there is a silver lining somewhere in the midst, I just have not found mine.

It exists in your faith and it is golden not mere silver.

Yes but it’s silver for the soul not the pocket.

Silver linings are awesome, I could use some of those for the slot machines. 🙂 Too cool, Carl!

If the silver is all up there in the clouds, will it ever rain down to us?

Hmmm, I could use some of that kind of silver-lining on my cloud banks. Love arts & craftiness! Especially the real kind of cut & paste. Super-duper!
