I like leftovers because you can make sandwiches. I wonder if wooly mammoths make good sandwiches.

Thank goodness turkeys are considerably smaller! I like leftovers, myself….makes the next days’ meal planning not such a ‘mammoth’ task.

  When you put so much effort into it, leftovers seems like a bonus. One of the reasons that micro-wave is so useful.

I did not understand the drawing, but aftert reading a few comments I begin to suspect that they were going to eat the elephant!!! But that is very sad!!! Elephants are very nice people!
Preferably, you might draw the thanksgiving dinner leftovers of the anthropophagites.

  This takes place at the
  Ice Age and end of the Stone Age. The animal is a mastodon or woolly mammoth. They were hunted to extinction by late Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon man. Of course they will have leftovers because the animal is so large. The joke is that of course they have no Thanksgiving but they seem to have the same problems with storing and eating big holiday meals and of course they are speaking English and exchanging typical housewife talk. .

    I see, but in the Ice Age they would have placed their meat in deep holes made in the ground. I think that in Siberia they still do that. (I also remember that their birch trees cannot grow deep roots because of the permafrost in the ground. So now, if the Earth becomes warmer, these birches might fall.)

    There must be many frozen species in Siberia – a real treasure trove for all kinds of scientists but that perma frost you mention prohibits the exploration.

Oh, Carl, now what? Are you trying to turn me into a vege/table/tarian, your Lasagne not withstanding?

Puts a whole new spin on wedding vows: “With this beast I shall thee honour. Through thickness and through leftovers I take you to be endowed till boredom will us part.”

And thanks for reminding me to warn my son to never even consider, other than for recreational purposes, a woman who turns down fish. What a cow.

Unless it’s frozen, leftovers are best eaten with two days after or bacteria begins to collect. I didn’t do a huge to-do myself.

Speaking of freezing food, how are those girlies gonna store all that leftover meat?

  Faithful Maxi. As soon as I post you are there. Have sliced up portions for sandwiches in baggies in freezer. Made a few jars of soup with carcus as broth base and all the lumpy scraps will go with gravy over rice or egg noodles.
