    Ha! Great one! This has always been my problem with artichokes – a lot of work for a whole lotta nuthin.

      But the thing is the stuffing you put on the leaves, That’s what you eat besides the heart. I mix crab meat, cheese and bread crumbs plus egg to make a paste and bake.

        I suppose artichokes are mainly a French and Italian thing. Love asparagus with touch of garlic and mild mustard sauce.
