That tomato is clearly bragging about the broad bean that got away.

Poor tomatoes…they go through so much…sliced, diced, chopped in bits…and they’re so confused too, because folks keep on referring to them as a ‘vegetable’….you gotta love ’em xx

I never squeeze the tomatoes in the store. I gently put them in the cart and when I get home, I slice them up and eat them. Now I feel kind of bad for the ones I ate tonight. In my defense, they practically begged me to do it.

There is always one begging to be squeezed. How are we to resist? Another great one. Blessings to you, Carl.

You’ll just have to buy some and do it in the privacy of you home. Public displays of affection are frowned upon by proper society.

is that little guy with his arms up begging for a hug–or getting his squeeze on some of the other ripe ladies in the bin?

I hope he wants a hug–all tomatoes need a hug.
    except the rotten ones.

    they need salvation through salsa.

That’s because they are buying imports. In Florida we buy California and Mexican tomatoes and in California they buy Florida and Mexican tomatoes. Go figure.

I once left a tomato in the frig too long, it also looked like it grew arms also.Maybe upon closer inspection your tomato up close looks like it has the face of Jesus. Why not? It can join the legions of people who saw such in potatoes, carrots, rocks, etc. Some times we can go too far.

Your doctor must have x-rayed the tomato too many times. They x-rayed a potato so much it grew eyes.

I am working on those and have file to refine. Several have been sent to ezine publications and have good shot at not receiving the usual rejection letter. You relate to my stories because we are of the same time and place and apprehended the same events and societal mores.
