And this is why I keep coming back:) I thank you Carl, you just don’t know sometime I have days I don’t feel so much of myself and your blog does really brighten my day. I am both honor and happy I found you!
Yes, Pt Richmond. That and Miami is what caught my attention to start following your blog. We left when I was 5 years old. Last times I was there was 1960(World’s Fair) and 1976.
I guess the key is how the viewer relates. If it hits home it’s funny. Or it may not seem funny to another. Many of mine require a knowledge of history and literature while some are every day funny. Sometimes the only one who thinks one is funny is me. Oh, well. I am glad you pick up on them.
We have so many fire alarms triggered by burning toast or whatever in our building, that it’s tempting to ignore them, but we don’t. Then when we don’t have one for a while, I wonder if the office staff turned off the system altogether. Nah. I can definitely relate to this cartoon, Carl.
You made me laugh. How do they think they could make anything appear like paradise in New Jersey? It certainly would be an illusion. Of course I’m not being fair because NJ is not synonymous with Newark. And of course neither NY or NJ claim Staten Island where I was born so I can be disdainful of it all.
The Garden State has a few wonderful things going for it . . . bagels, pizza, delis, sub shops, and the Jersey Shore (when it’s warm enough to enjoy it under swaying imported palm trees). 😀
My family’s from New Jersey, too (Trenton area). I’ll vouch for all of the above and also add Tasty Kakes and as-close-to-authentic-as-you-can-get-without-actually-going-to-Philly cheese steaks.

Yes, the jokes don’t change but the audience does so they always remain fresh and new to new people.

Love to be a fly on the wall if Timothy meets up with Chicken Little.
Can’t believe we have something else in common Carl, being born in Staten Island.

Thank you. It is a challenge to maintain production and some times I repost an older one from when I started and had only a few viewers.

Palm Trees are one of the reasons I moved to Florida. They make me smile.
In NJ, some of the bars at the beach import palm trees every summer . . . to create the illusion of paradise.
