Yes. President John Adams was vilified for refusing to go to war.( would make just your kind of story for your blog genre) Perhaps he knew something that has not seemed to resonate throughout history.
We have terrorism right here in the USA. The gangs and drug lords have taken over entire cities. There are shootings all the time. Yes, and we can be there but not in Haiti that needs help so disparately. USA neglect of Haiti has been disgraceful..
Wow, Carl, those are scary numbers. Both figures are awful but the 35,000 don’t even get a mention in the loud media – and their lives are changed forever.

Politicians should not be handling anything. Everything they touch becomes contaminated. But with the emergence of statesmen, now there could be a chance. You ask if anyone cares. Certainly too few do. Perhaps we need to spread the sacrifice around beyond the immediately affected families. I bet a $50 a week war tax from everyone’s paycheck would get some attention!

This is great. I have indeed read that before, can’t remember where, but I love it. What if, indeed…

I really want to rage and rant about this but close followers advise to keep cartoon humor not political editorial for my blog.

It’s sad, but as long as man exists on this earth there will be corruption, the struggle for power … and war.

The only stats people in this country in which people take an interest are those of athletes or movie ratings.
