Yes. Been tough year. Unemployment in Miami real figure close to 25%. Future looks pretty grim. Those of us with job, very modest pay, and modest living arrangements are the new low upper class wealthy.
Oh, but there is one more particularly distasteful realizing: The realizing that Kate and Carl will be emptying their wallets to fill the stockings and it usually takes to the end of February to get the budget somewhat in order. I have been skeptical of the whole Santa Claus scam perpetuated by adults by at least 3 years old but it took some time to realize that I would metamorphose into Santa myself. I am 61 and hope there are no more surprises. I have already dismissed that angels and harps stuff anyway.

Looks like they’re doing a time rap! Should be good viewing, Carl – I wonder who had the better year?

I’m surprised there’s not a bottle of something between them. They deserve a good, stiff drink after the year they’ve probably had!

Realising that Santa wears a toupee is almost the same as the moment one realises he doesn’t come and fill your stocking on Christmas Eve.
Better not type that too loudly, the kids are in the next room…

I would love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation.
Wonder who has the best “story” to tell…
