It saddens me that Miami is probably more than 60% foreign born born with much of the remaining population first generation. So there are few people who understand what the day means or care. Not much in the way of activities anymore except the usual obligatory half mast and police review. Thanks for the visit.

I did military service for a year, perhaps this makes me appreciate what the true veterans did a bit more.

Beautiful Job, Let’s never forget are Vets who are our real heros. Glad to see you acknowledging them.
By the way that 3 cent stamp of Iwo Jima is beautiful. Is it new or old?

Stamp first issued July 11, 1945 at D.C. main post office branch. That’s pretty close to day and year of your birth, right?
