Little Lamb and Puff, Magic Dragon
January 18th, 2013 at 07:19
Awwww…..what a lovely one, Carl. I have always loved Puff…
January 18th, 2013 at 09:45
I knew his uncle, Poof.
January 20th, 2013 at 02:06
And a wrong step can turn one to Pulp…
January 18th, 2013 at 07:32
Puff says to Little Lamb: “There’ll never be another ewe.” Good morning, Carl.
January 18th, 2013 at 09:46
…or another woolly mammoth.
January 18th, 2013 at 07:36
Now this is what I call “magic.” Love this, Carl.
Blessings ~ Maxi

And magic to you today !
January 18th, 2013 at 07:58
And they lived happily ever after.
Now that is certainly the proper ending. Or beginning ?
January 18th, 2013 at 08:30
Dragon on a leash. That’s gonna be one heck of a walk
January 18th, 2013 at 09:49
Perhaps they should just jump on and go for a good fly over the king’s realm.
January 18th, 2013 at 10:10
Hmmm, does the big guy sleep in bed with them?
January 18th, 2013 at 11:42
Sure. Papa Bear’s bed !
January 18th, 2013 at 10:27
Expensive to keep a pet like that these days, isn’t it?
Need a part time gig just to feed the fella.
January 18th, 2013 at 12:12
We all have our fingers crossed in hopes that Jackie will never grow up and abandon Puff (as predicted) and, now that they’ve joined up with Mary and her little lamb, will share in their immortality.
January 18th, 2013 at 12:23
As long as we can bring Peter Pan into the equation, everything will be fine.
January 18th, 2013 at 14:09
My gosh, Carl, I’m feeling really dumb here, but I don’t get this one. You don’t need to explain it (that’s an insult!) but I’m sorry, don’t get it. …
January 18th, 2013 at 18:23
Not everyone does. So no explanation given. A lot of times things are uniquely American from me although I am surprised how many people follow here from across the English speaking world (England, Canada, India, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Pakistan and even Tasmania). A lot has to do with age as most of my audience is women in the 55 to 80 years old range so often humor is a generational connection. Some Spanish speakers don’t catch things because idioms sometimes cannot be conveyed language to language. My educational background is history, theology and American/British literature so my references may not be apparent to everyone. Sometimes it is the artist as not all of my cartoons are a smashing hit with everyone.

I hear the big bad wolf is out walking his piggies. Maybe they can meet up.
January 18th, 2013 at 18:24
I am sure there won’t be any piggies left after that wolf walk.
January 18th, 2013 at 17:43
Wow, have you and magic Puff been..’travelling on boats with billowed sails?’ Mr. D’Agostino?
Hmm, you do live by the sea, very interesting.. Do you frolic in the Autumn mist?
January 18th, 2013 at 18:26
I am two miles from Miami Beach and Peter Pan is one of my closest friends. However, I have never been to Honalee.
January 18th, 2013 at 18:58
Hah, that Honalee is just a code word for “Hollywood, Daytona, and Port St. Lucie. All of us “paper boys” knew that..
January 18th, 2013 at 19:11
Daytona. Took bus from college in Lakeland 1968 to spend day at beach there with 2 buddies. In 20 hours we got stopped and searched by the police 9 times. Never been back. Parents lived in Pt St Lucie before moving in with me. Hollywood – just up the road as I am in Aventura, NE corner of Miami Dade County. 2 casinos and a horse track – heaven.
January 18th, 2013 at 18:16
Oh, that rascal Puff.
January 18th, 2013 at 18:27
He’s a player for sure.
January 19th, 2013 at 01:34
you’re wonderful Carl!
January 19th, 2013 at 05:21
You too !

January 19th, 2013 at 13:48
Lovey dovey mushy side of personality.
January 19th, 2013 at 15:20
I just love this one, Carl. I can remember learning Puff the Magic Dragon from my music teacher like it was yesterday. Good memories!! Loved that song and singing the harmony. Peter, Paul and Mary weren’t bad either, just a bit before me, but…I caught the re-runs.
January 19th, 2013 at 16:27
PP & M, et. al. – I was there – perfect time – perfect age. Although that era left most of us scarred in one way or another.
January 20th, 2013 at 01:41
What a touching portrait this Paper family makes. How quaint.
January 20th, 2013 at 06:22
Hard to find a vet for dragon though.
January 20th, 2013 at 18:40
I love puff the magic dragon. But I thought he lived by the sea?
