One of my earliest cartoon attempts – almost 30 years old.

That’s right. Our soul’s may be cleansed but the Hudson River ain’t.
seeker January 7th, 2013 at 23:05
30 years ago? have they invented the scuba suit then? You are so ahead of time, Carl.
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 07:28
I am about to break open the tech world with my amazing horseless carriage.
Three Well Beings January 8th, 2013 at 00:00
This really made me laugh! I like Tommy’s skepticism–he’s hedging all his bets. Baptism doesn’t mean he has to stop reasoning!
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 07:29
Smart guy. There was that Great Flood thing.
monicastangledweb January 8th, 2013 at 00:35
I love Tommy Weatherbee. He’s got the right idea!
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 07:30
Tommy has faith but as Ronald Reagan said “Trust but verify”.
Ankur Mithal January 8th, 2013 at 00:43
Perhaps he prefers baptism by fire
Well I suppose an apotheosis is just that.
Mr Oh January 8th, 2013 at 00:59
Clearly, Tommy was a Skubaptist.
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 07:31
They have a big church in the Bahamas.
adeeyoyo January 8th, 2013 at 01:12
I would definitely be dressed like Tommy Weatherbee ‘cos I don’t like to get my face wet!
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 07:32
Then you must be a cat not a doggy.
jannatwrites January 8th, 2013 at 01:28
I can’t say I blame him. If it makes you sick to drink it, I don’t want to be dunked in it.
That’s right and maybe the water is just a metaphor.
cat January 8th, 2013 at 03:02
30 years ago … hmmm … let’s see … I was stupid and in love …. 30 years later … I’m still in love and just as stupid …
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 07:34
I am still on the stupid part a bit but am too old for the romance part. Sigh.
WordsFallFromMyEyes January 8th, 2013 at 03:53
You made me smile.
Good. I “saved” the day, mission accomplished.
Maxi January 8th, 2013 at 06:04
Thirty years? That’s staying power. Blessings ~ Maxi
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 07:35
It’s been a long road to salvation.
Tori Nelson January 8th, 2013 at 06:49
Better to be prepared, right?
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 07:36
That’s right. Lord says depend on Him but we must do our own diving.
earthriderjudyberman January 8th, 2013 at 07:45
Tommy is flipping out over the baptism requirements. Morning, Carl.
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 08:02
I wonder if a daily morning shower has the Lord’s approval ? That’s “Head and Shoulders” above this stuff. Good morning to you.
Lori Lipsky January 8th, 2013 at 08:17
Doubting Tommy. Tommy Weatherbee. He’s not afraid to stand out in a crowd. Love it!
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 08:37
I did not catch the parallelism – Doubting Tommy and Doubting Thomas when I made the cartoon but there it is as you point out. .
Bridgesburning Chris King January 8th, 2013 at 09:51
Don’t why I have not been receiving your emailed posts but have fixed that now….now have some catching up to do!
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 09:55
Oh good. Missed you.
Wendell A. Brown January 8th, 2013 at 10:50
I love it Carl, too funny!
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 12:18
I am so glad to hear that. Many people of faith visit here and try to be funny with church stuff without being offensive so I value your opinion very much. Regards.

Yesterday and Today Both You’re Really Getting In Tune With The Epiphany
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 12:20
To be truly washed they need their Ivory Soap to clean up their act.
Deb January 8th, 2013 at 11:17
Tom is starting out without faith.
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 12:19
Spoze we all have to start somewhere. You probably started with crayons and clay like me a long time ago. (longer for me).
Mark Petruska January 8th, 2013 at 16:14
I’ve never seen a Jesuit with a wesuit.
Carl D'Agostino January 8th, 2013 at 19:03
I earned my MA under a few Jesuits. Probably the most educated clergy of all.
Deborah January 8th, 2013 at 20:15
You’re not very confident are you ? lol..lol
Carl D'Agostino January 9th, 2013 at 10:49
We Presbyterians just sprinkle. Besides I need a motion sickness pill just to get into the bathtub let alone a river.
petit4chocolatier January 8th, 2013 at 21:07
A lot of baptisms
Carl D'Agostino January 9th, 2013 at 10:50
