Actually these are WW 2 navy Hellcats that were carrier based not land based so wings would fold for storage room. But the suggestion that they may be praying is quite possible.
Dunno what happened to my comment. Lost it on my laptop, dang it. I always did like my desktop best. Well your cartoons always make my day, Carl.

Yes or the result could be the issuance of angel wings and a harp.

“On A Wing And A Prayer” would have been a good name for a Paul McCartney gospel album.

Looks like the 2 planes on the right are lifting their wings … in disbelieve … or maybe prayer … or maybe both, if that’s possible … cute …

Bette Davis can be overheard amid the panic saying, “Fasten your seat belts. we’re going to have a bumpy ride.” Good one, Carl.

Poor ole Lt. Turner! I’m with Jean Kerr. Love that quote. I avoid planes and diets if I can. Been on way too many of both. Thanks, Carl.
