“We are determined to make every American citizen the subject of his country’s interest and concern.” Carl 1937
“We are determined to make every American citizen the subject of his country’s interest and concern.” FDR 2010
The picture of me above was taken in 1908. As the viewer can see, I am at the wheel of the sailing ship known as a frigate.
This is a picture of Roosevelt taken in 2010. DOES ANYONE THINK THIS IS A COINCIDENCE? It is obvious he is stealing my Pizzazz.
ROOSEVELT IS SNEAKING HIS WAY INTO THE 2012 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
In March of 1933, I said “…there must be a strict supervision of all banking and credits and investments; there must be an end to speculation with other people’s money…”
In June of this year, this Roosevelt fellow said “…there must be a strict supervision of all banking and credits and investments; there must be an end to speculation with other people’s money…”
DOES ANYONE SEE WHAT’S GOING ON HERE? Not only has this Roosevelt fellow stolen my dashing boating stance, he is now freely quoting me directly without attribution!
In January of 1937, I said “We are beginning to abandon our tolerance of the abuse of power by those who betray for profit the elementary decencies of life.”
In July of this year Mr. Roosevelt said “We are beginning to abandon our tolerance of the abuse of power by those who betray for profit the elementary decencies of life.” Once again the reader can witness the unashamed theft of my words. I SAY YOU WILL NOT GET AWAY WITH THIS FRANKLIN!

This is a photo of my “Man of the Hour” mantel clock. It was made in 1908 when I started my campaign against the crooked “banksters” and their criminal practices in our financial institutions.

This is a picture of the clock the Roosevelt people are cranking out by the millions since January 2010. They have taken my clock and put his head on it! DO YOU PEOPLE REALLY THINK I WOULD NOT CATCH THIS CHICANERY?
Let me remind the reader and Mr. Roosevelt that I have been fighting against the “banksters” for 75 years. In 1904, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin’s kinsman, employed similar trickery. He combined the progressive agenda of the North Eastern Establishment, the government modifications in Minnesota, and the Populism of the South and West to defeat William Jennings Bryan in the presidential election. Theodore had the nerve to then proudly proclaim “I stole Bryan’s thunder!” However, Franklin, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO STEAL MY PIZZAZZ.

Thieving bastard! What’s next? He moves to Miami?
You look excellent for being well over 100 years old, by the way.

I won’t let a couple of extra years stop me. But if the Roosevelt fellow wins as long as he puts my policies into effect that will be OK because it’s principles above personalities and the future of the nation is more important than my historical recognition.

I love this! Hilarious! Is it wrong that I have been looking to resurrect a little CCC, trying to start a grass-roots movement to try and get kids to do SOMETHING to give back to our country after high school but before college. Credit would be given towards college tuition. Maybe we’d get some patriotism going? Actually get kids to develop an appreciation for what we’ve got in this country? Give them time to decide what they want to do before they spend a fortune failing out of college? Is that so wrong?

Thanks. I am really going to run with the history stuff sticking my picture in all kinds of historical photos and paintings from Egypt to the present. Oughtta be a scream. One way to campaign for community service is in the college frats and sororities. Pledge-ship should be s semester’s worth of community service, say 100 hours. Not the low level torture and other animal house insanity which characterized college life 40 years ago and more. Some are doing this at various degrees of intensity at various universities now and would look good on that resume My father was in the CCC as a young teen around 1937 doing forestry in Connecticut. Think he got $24 a month most of which he sent home. My idea for a national service program would be the “Reforestation of North America.” Say 500,000 trees a year as a starter. There are enough green organizations to maybe get something going along these lines. I’m just saying…..

I think the idea of a year of community service is excellent. So many kids stumble through freshman year only to return home confused and insecure. Reforestation is as good a project as any but I think we would also be wise to consider services that would provide compassion and empathy: working in hospitals, schools, homeless shelters.
By the way, you’re quite impressive at the helm of that ship.

I believe that – even though he’s dead (that didn’t stop many Chicago voters, did it?) – FDR is likely to steal your thunder. Don’t necessarily give up the fight, but don’t get your hopes up, either. Sorry.

Pizzazz is going to be, officially, my next favorite word. You have reminded me how underused it is—and it is a goody. Makes your point perfectly!

Those Roosevelts–you know, there are still some people out there not at all happy with their legacy! I’ll have to re-route such discussions and be sure that you get the credit (discredit) for having the moxie. How dare they steal your thunder! And my work is in academic service-learning which does place university students in community support roles while they are also achieving academic goals. It’s very fulfilling to see so many young adults embrace civic engagement. Debra

Pizzaz is more of a very cool-on top of things-mojo. More act than substance but in my case have both. It is an Italian/Brooklyn thing.
