Well, yes and no. I think we have been doing what we are supposed to, which is strive for more. The trick is in knowing when to stop, which is probably where we run the risk of going too far.
Good commentary on the conflict between technological advances and environmental sacrifices (or should I just sit back, enjoy a good laugh and stop noticing the deeper meanings in your cartoons?), Good one, either way.
“Aw, don’t worry Henry, this birdbrain is gonna kill himself anyway…He’s flying Ass-backwards.”
“Hey you’re right Gertie, guess he doesn’t want to see where the crash is gonna be!”
Invention isn’t always seen as improvement …kind of depends on your personal perspective, doesn’t it! I’m not sure which view in this cartoon best represents my own much of the time, Carl, but I find a very thought provoking challenge in this illustration! Debra
Just as in a poem or abstract sculpture and other forms of the visual arts, if the viewer is moved to thinking and the work is thought provoking then the artist has been successful because he/she has initiated the analytic process as opposed to the two minute view and pass-by. AS each conclusion is unique with multiple conclusions the work becomes thought provoking at another level and no interpretation is right or wrong. One secret is that the artist never reveals his intent.
As Wilber Wrong flew low over the crowd, his brother and friends yelled loudly but to no effect. On his seventh pass Wilber finally understood what they were yelling…”Zip up your fly!” It gave a new meaning to the phrase, letting it all hang out!
loved that cartoon..sometimes the start is brilliant, the idea behind it is novel but later on in greed for more we take it to another level which may be causing us a lot of harm..

I appreciate your awareness. I do not do political but can mask the issue in satire as did Voltaire.

Guess they hadn’t met a Kiwi. They might have never taken flight…….And, who knows, maybe “wrong” would have been (W)right?

Wright on Carl – I missed all the good punning opportunities again so I’ll just have to wing it – punning’s for the birds anyhow…

You did well .If you are not an early bird your puns must be more creative and you’ll do well in that event.
