Ah yes. The roar of the crowd as I rounded the bases having sent one out at 430 feet. The adulation of children and endless waves of foxy babes. Free drinks were an added perk. But Hansi, I was never a snob and never charged a penny for an autograph and always found a moment to satisfy a request.
Oh that’s right. You’re a Boston guy. If it is any consolation I think Ted Williams was the best ever. Then 2 years missed WW2 and 2 years missed Korea – no telling how much greater he could have been.
Ol’ man Jeter is rippin. Of course here in Miami one must show his stripes for the Marlins. They just get so hot then cold all the time. They better call soon. I’ll be 63 next month.
Know I’m late with this, but had to tell you, You sure look good in a uniform. We must be kindred spirits, as I love my newspaper. Gotta do the crossword everyday, also. Look forward to reading your posts, even if I’m a little behind.

How do you catch those things as they hop around so quickly and does’t the noise keep you awake all night ?
